1. Introduction

BingeBliss ("App", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, and share information about you.

This Privacy Policy describes our practices in connection with information collected through the BingeBliss application. By downloading, installing, or using BingeBliss, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

BingeBliss is owned and operated by Electric Butterfly, Inc., a corporation incorporated in California, United States.

2. Information We Collect

BingeBliss does not require you to create an account or provide any personally identifiable information such as your name or email address. The information described below is either anonymous, device-level, or pseudonymous, and is not used by us to identify you as an individual.

2.1 Usage Analytics

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the App, including:

This data is collected through Google Firebase Analytics and is used to understand how users engage with BingeBliss so we can improve the experience.

2.2 Crash Reports

If the App experiences a crash or error, we automatically collect diagnostic information including:

Crash reports are collected through Google Firebase Crashlytics and do not include any personally identifiable information.

2.3 Advertising Data and the Advertising Identifier (IDFA)

The Free tier of BingeBliss displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. To serve relevant ads, AdMob may use your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA), a unique identifier assigned by Apple to your device.

In compliance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, BingeBliss will ask your permission before accessing your IDFA. You will see a prompt that asks whether you would like to allow BingeBliss to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites.

You can change your ATT preference at any time by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your iOS device.

In addition to banner ads, BingeBliss offers Free tier users the option to voluntarily watch a short rewarded advertisement in exchange for earning an additional Watchlist slot. These rewarded ads are also served by Google AdMob. The same ATT permission and personalization rules described above apply: if you have granted ATT permission, rewarded ads may be personalized; if you have denied ATT permission, rewarded ads will be non-personalized. Watching a rewarded ad is always optional and initiated solely by your choice within the App.

2.4 Purchase and Subscription Information

If you purchase an in-app subscription within BingeBliss, transaction processing is handled by Apple via the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage and validate your subscription status. RevenueCat may collect:

RevenueCat does not receive your full payment details; those are handled exclusively by Apple.

2.5 Information You Provide

BingeBliss does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the App. Any content you add to your Watchlist (such as TV show and movie items) is stored locally on your device and, if iCloud sync is enabled, in your personal iCloud storage. We have no access to this content.

BingeBliss utilizes Google Firebase AI Logic to analyze photos submitted via our “Who’s on Screen?” feature. By using the “Who’s on Screen?” feature, you acknowledge that any photos you submit to Google Firebase AI Logic may help train their AI model, so please do not ever submit photos that include any personal information. BingeBliss never shares any personal information with Google Firebase AI Logic, and we never review, store or retain any of your submitted photos. Using the “Who’s on Screen?” feature is always optional and initiated solely by your choice within the App.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

4. Third-Party Services

BingeBliss integrates the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing their data practices:

4.1 Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics & AI Logic)

Firebase Analytics collects usage data to help us understand how the App is used. Firebase Crashlytics collects crash diagnostic data. Google may use aggregated, de-identified data from Firebase to improve its own services. Firebase AI Logic is utilized by our “Who’s on Screen?” feature to identify actors in the photos you choose to submit. Firebase Privacy Policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

4.2 Google AdMob

AdMob displays advertisements within the App. If you have granted ATT permission, AdMob may use your IDFA and other data to serve personalized ads. If you have denied ATT permission, AdMob will serve non-personalized ads. Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

4.3 RevenueCat

RevenueCat is used to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat processes subscription status and purchase history to enable premium features within BingeBliss. RevenueCat Privacy Policy: https://revenuecat.com/privacy

4.4 The Movie Database (TMDB)

BingeBliss makes requests to TMDB servers to retrieve TV show and movie data, but no personal information is ever included in those API requests, and no personal information is ever shared with TMDB. TMDB Privacy Policy: https://themoviedb.org/privacy-policy

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not collect or store personally identifiable information about you, and therefore we do not sell or share personal information. The anonymous analytics, crash diagnostic data, and (where ATT permission is granted) pseudonymous IDFA described in Section 2 are handled by our third-party service providers as described below. We may also share information in the following limited circumstances:

6. Data Retention

Because BingeBliss does not collect personally identifiable information, we do not maintain a personal data store tied to you as an individual. The data described in Section 2 is retained by our third-party service providers according to their own retention policies. For reference, Firebase Analytics data is typically retained for up to 14 months and Crashlytics crash data for up to 90 days, in accordance with Google’s default retention settings. RevenueCat retains purchase and subscription records for as long as necessary to manage your subscription and comply with applicable law.

Watchlist data you create is stored locally on your device (and in your iCloud if enabled) and is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App. We have no access to this data.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

As described in Section 2.3, you can grant or revoke permission for cross-app tracking at any time via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your iOS device.

7.2 Limit Ad Tracking

You can reset your Advertising Identifier or disable personalized ads at the device level by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising on your iOS device.

7.3 California Residents — Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Because BingeBliss does not collect personally identifiable information and does not maintain a personal data store linked to identified individuals, many of these rights have limited practical application to our App. However, we want to be transparent about your rights and how they apply:

To submit a privacy rights request or ask questions about your California privacy rights, please contact us at the address provided in Section 11. We will respond to verified requests within 45 days as required by law.

7.4 Canadian Residents

If you are a resident of Canada, you have rights under applicable Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. These rights include the right to access your personal information and the right to request correction of inaccurate information. However, BingeBliss does not collect personally identifiable information and does not maintain a personal data store linked to identified individuals, so many of these rights have limited practical application to our App.

As described in this Policy, the only potential identifier associated with your device is your IDFA, and only if you granted permission via the ATT prompt. This identifier is shared directly with Google AdMob and is not stored by us. You may reset or limit your IDFA at any time through your iOS device settings as described in Section 7.2.

Since we do not maintain personal records about identified individuals, there is no personal information held by us that would require correction.

For any questions, please contact us as described in Section 11.

8. Children’s Privacy

BingeBliss is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. BingeBliss does not collect personally identifiable information and does not maintain a personal data store linked to identified individuals.

9. Data Security

Since BingeBliss does not collect personally identifiable information and does not maintain a personal data store linked to identified individuals, there is no personal data at risk.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy. For material changes, we may notify you through the App or through other means. Your continued use of BingeBliss after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
